Winter Wishes “Must Have Christmas Wish List” – Pals December Blog Hop

Welcome to the start of the final Pals Blog Hop of 2013. This month we are showcasing projects featuring tools and supplies that should be on every crafters wish list. You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Marlene Heringer’s Blog, So Many Toys So Little Time  number 16 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, you can find the full blog lineup below. You won’t want to miss any of this month’s amazing creations.

Recently, a good friend of mine asked, ‘What are your must have Stampin’ Up! items?’.

Undoubtedly, like all of you, I have my favorite colors, favorite stamp sets, and favorite punches, but I never put much thought into what my absolute must haves are.

So as Christmas fast approaches, and since our blog hop this month is focusing on what you should have on your Christmas Wish List, I thought I would share my top 3 can’t do without items.

Stampin’ Trimmer – If you are anything like me, you have purchased several paper trimmers over your crafting career, looking for that perfect one… I officially have 6. Hands down, by far, the Stampin’ Trimmer is my favorite go-to.

Envelope Punch Board – Can you say versatile? From envelopes to small boxes and little bags, this is a must have. On the Backorder list more than once since its’ debut with Stampin’ Up!, I don’t think I am alone in saying this is a wonderful tool.

Big Shot

Big Shot – From Die Cutting to Embossing this machine allows you the ability to make beautiful cards, home décor pieces, you name it, this tool will help you to personalize and create it.

Now I know you are looking at this list and saying… ‘Elaine, where are all the stamps???’, don’t get me wrong, obviously, I LOVE my stamps, but if you are looking at making an investment in your craft stash, just like that perfect little black dress, these tools will be your go-to time and time again, and they won’t disappoint!

I used my 3 favorite go-to tools to create the mini Christmas thank you cards, envelopes and decorative box below.

These tools made it a snap, and I think they turned out super cute! I’d love to know what your must have tools are, and the interesting ways you’ve found to use them. I know you crafty pals are always thinking outside of the box, and you provide me with endless inspiration!

Your next stop on our hop is number 18, Linda Callahan at Stampin’ Seasons.

Thanks for visiting – and until next time…

Happy Crafting!

Pals Blog Hop – May 2013

Blog 2013

Thank you for joining us for the May Pals Blog Hop and our annual retirement party! It’s time to say goodbye to stamps and accessories that will not be available in the new  2013-14 Stampin’ Up! catalog. Although it’s always sad to see wonderful products retire, it is exciting to think about all of the new products that will soon be available. So enjoy the farewell tour for our favorite retiring products – and remember you have until June 3rd to order from the retiring product lists.

You should have just left stop number 30 on the Pals Hop – The Love of Stamping – Barbara Furlong.  If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I am so excited!!! 2013 has been a season of firsts for me. Today I am participating in my first ever Blog Hop. I have had an opportunity to visit all of my fellow hopper’s sites, and I am so impressed by all of their inspirational creations.

I am extremely fortunate to be affiliated with such talented artists!!!

As we transition to our new catalog, and say goodbye to some of our much loved retiring products, I debated over which I wanted to highlight for today’s project. So in true Elaine fashion, I didn’t pick just one.

Those of you, who know me personally, know I LOVE tea. Tea cups, tea parties, tea rooms the whole antiquated Jane Austen, Royal Family romance of it all. I collect tea cups, vintage linens and basically anything relating to tea time in general. Stamps are no exception and retiring this year is the most beautiful tea stamp set “Tea Shoppe”.

For this project, I decide to create these quaint tea envelopes that can be carried with you, so you can enjoy a cup of tea, whenever the opportunity presents itself. These also make great inclusions in care packages, get well cards and as party favors.

I combined the Tea Shoppe stamp set with retiring color pretty in pink (love this pink) and retiring embossing folder Elegant Lines. If you can only choose one of these retiring items, I would recommend the embossing folder, because it is the most versatile, but if you feel like indulging, the stamp set is phenomenal.

I can’t wait to see your favorite retiring items, or what you create with mine.

Happy Crafting!
