Too Early for Valentine’s Day? Never! – PMDC-034

My hubby was so sweet yesterday!!! When I came home in the evening there was a nice surprise waiting for me on my nightstand. A beautiful bottle of J’adore by Dior perfume. I had never tested it out before, but it has a lovely scent.

“J’adore”, I believe is French for I Love, which got me thinking Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. So a little burnt out on the Christmas Card front…and yes my cards did make it in the mail this year, wooo whooo… I thought I would work on a little Valentine’s.

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  have a wonderful sketch challenge this week, that I thought would make a wonderful card front.

Below is my take on the sketch.

PMDC-034 - Entry

Yes, I used my favorite digital DSP, Beau Chateau…predictable, but it makes me sooooo happy! If the quote seems familiar, that’s because it is from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice…oh that Mr. Darcy!!!

I’d love to see your interpretations on the sketch!

Until Next Time… Happy Crafting!

PMDC 020 – Sketch Challenge

I loved Nicole Watt’s recent blog post “A New Timeline Cover and No Tears from MDS-ers…” . It got me thinking about what a truly great benefit working digital is when it comes to product lines retiring. Your digital files, unlike consumable products, are always at the ready and never truly “retire”, and the versatility that is provided when working digitally allows you to modify the color, size, even the texture of these elements so they never really go out of “style” either.

My favorite DSP from Stampin’ Up! is Beau Chateau. This line is retired but you can still purchase some of the DSP in the Clearance Rack of my online store. Though the DSP is retired, having the digital version is very reassuring, since I will always have my favorite on hand when inspiration strikes!

Below is my take on the current Pixel Maven DigiChallenge, using this Digital DSP. Congratulations to Nicole and Kris for reaching your first 20 challenges!!!

I’d love to see your take on this challenge, whether digital, hybrid or traditional.

Happy Crafting!
