Scrapbook Layout – MDSM39

I don’t know about you all, but I am exhausted! John & I just spent the last 3 days trying to finish up the studio. It is almost done, and he was a real trooper! He said he was glad to be heading off to work today so he could get some rest. 🙂

It is hard to imagine that such a small space would require so much work.

I need to purge a little excess from my stash, and fiddle with some of the organization, but I hope to get some photos out to all of you later this week. Dad if you’re listening, I think we are ready to start measuring and making plans for the screen door. 🙂

In the meantime, I thought it would be nice to create a scrapbook page, featuring my dynamic duo from this weekend, me and my hubby. I found my inspiration from sketch challenge MDSM39 at MDS Monday.

Scrap sketch 39-001

Here is my take on the challenge, using DSP from Stampin’ Up! in the Bella Bleu collection and stamp brush from the All Holidays set. I love the elegant lines of this DSP and the colors are ultra calming.

I’d be excited to see what you create using this sketch!

Until Next Time… Happy Crafting!

Holiday Card Front – MDSM38

Halloween was a great success. Everyone loved the pumpkins Ali carved. I should have taken a picture of them all lit up last night….but alas I think I was in a candy coma.

Excited by the start of the holiday season, I thought I would search for some Christmas card ideas. Tara Bourgoin over at  MDS Monday has a terrific card sketch for challenge MDSM38, and after checking out all the design team inspiration pieces, I though this would make a great holiday card front.

I used Stampin’ Up! DSP from the Letters to Santa collection, and I altered some of the embellishments from the Playful Polka Dots collection to compliment the papers. Below is my entry to the challenge.

Double Entry – PMDC 031 – Color Challenge & MDSM37

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat have a wonderful color challenge this week, featuring 3 great colors (Rich Razzleberry, Midnight Muse, & Crumb Cake).

PMDC-031

As you can tell by my most recent post on the addition of the Craft Studio, I am still without any physical paper to work with, so my entry this week will be totally digital.

Lacking in inspiration, I took a cue from Nicole and headed on over to MDS Monday, and found this great layout, for their MDSM37 Challenge!

Below is how I put both challenges together to feature a few great selfies my nephew Lakshman took of himself with my phone. We were having a great time, and he got a real kick out of reviewing the photos of himself after every click.

I can’t wait to see your take on both challenges.

Until Next Time… Happy Crafting!
