Paper Players Challenge No. 144 – Mother’s Day Theme from Anne Marie

Mother’s Day is fast approaching. Do you have your cards ready??? My dear husband asked if I would make a card for he and my daughter to give to me… ¬†Say what??? I don’t believe that will be happening. ūüôā

This week, the Paper Players are showcasing projects celebrating Mother’s Day, and Design Team Member Anne Marie is hosting. There are ton of cards posted so if you’re in search of a little inspiration, you have to check it out.

PMDC 018 – Color Challenge

I was really excited to find this digital challenge on Pixel Maven’s Retreat. ¬†I am new to the Stampin’ Up! family, and have never used their MDS (My Digital Studio) software, but as many of you know, I love working digital projects using Photoshop Elements. So I thought to myself… ¬†‘Self, what a great way to experiment with some of Stampin’ Up’s! digital download content’. ūüôā ¬†

This weeks Digi Challenge, was a color challenge featuring Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise.

I used the digital content for the Designer Series Paper in all three colors, I also used several flowers from the Playful Polka Dots digital kit, which I recolored to match the challenge colors. That is the greatest thing about working digitally. Something’s not quite the right color?, you can change it, not quite the right size? ¬†you can change it….digital is very forgiving, fast, versatile and the best part??? ZERO MESS!

Below is my take on the challenge, along with a complete list of what I used.

I’d love to see your take on this challenge, whether digital, hybrid or traditional.

Happy Crafting!

Generic – All Occasion Card

I recently signed up for a card swap hosted by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator Michelle Schumann. The goal of the swap was to create a card with no interior sentiment that could be used for any occasion. A card that would not be holiday or celebration specific.

Here is the card that I created along with a list of the supplies and dimensions:

Go CONFIDENTLY Card Exterior

Go CONFIDENTLY Card Interior

I know like many of you, I often suffer from writer’s block but I love the sentiment of this card so much, and have found it very useful for a multitude of occasions. Below are examples of ways in which I have used this sentiment:

Outside Sentiment: Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Wedding: As the two of you begin your married life together, may you attain every dream the two of you share.
Retirement: May you realize a whole new set of dreams as you embark on this new stage in your life.
Graduation: As you graduate, seize every opportunity in front of you, and enjoy every moment in the pursuit of your dreams.
New Home: Congratulations on your new piece of the American Dream!
Thank You/Friendship: Thank you for always supporting me in the pursuit of my dreams, no matter where that pursuit has taken me. Your friendship is a true blessing.
Mother’s Day/Father’s Day: Thank you for always being there for me, and encouraging me to follow my heart and my dreams. No one in the world could possibly be blessed with a better mother/father.
New Job: May your new job help you realize all of your dreams. Congratulations!
Transition/Set-Back/Job Loss/Encouragement: As you transition through this challenging time, never lose sight of your dreams. For in those dreams you will recognize your true self. Know that I/we are always here for you.

I’d be interested to know what interesting ways you find to use this sentiment & for what occasions.
