PMDC 020 – Sketch Challenge

I loved Nicole Watt’s recent blog post “A New Timeline Cover and No Tears from MDS-ers…” . It got me thinking about what a truly great benefit working digital is when it comes to product lines retiring. Your digital files, unlike consumable products, are always at the ready and never truly “retire”, and the versatility that is provided when working digitally allows you to modify the color, size, even the texture of these elements so they never really go out of “style” either.

My favorite DSP from Stampin’ Up! is Beau Chateau. This line is retired but you can still purchase some of the DSP in the Clearance Rack of my online store. Though the DSP is retired, having the digital version is very reassuring, since I will always have my favorite on hand when inspiration strikes!

Below is my take on the current Pixel Maven DigiChallenge, using this Digital DSP. Congratulations to Nicole and Kris for reaching your first 20 challenges!!!

I’d love to see your take on this challenge, whether digital, hybrid or traditional.

Happy Crafting!

Pixel Maven’s Digi Challenge No. 019

This week at Pixel Maven’s Retreat, the Digi Challenge centers around a ribbon element. As I was deciding what exactly I wanted to create I was browsing my digital papers and fell in love with Digital DSP Pocket Full of Posies. Using the bird patterned paper, inspiration struck and I envisioned the two little birds building a nest of ribbon and the title ‘Home Tweet Home’ came to mind. This would be a great front for a housewarming card, or would make cute home decor framed.

You could add additional ribbon to the card front along with brads and stitching, and you would have a fun hybrid project.

I’d love to see your take on this week’s challenge, whether it be digital, hybrid or traditional, and welcome any questions you may have.

Happy Crafting!
