Naughty & Nice? – PMDC-033

After highlighting some old family photos in a recent entry for a MDS Monday Challenge, I felt inspired and decided to roll with the concept and use some of John’s old family photos to do the same.

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  have a wonderful color challenge this week, featuring 3 fun colors (Real Red, Basic Grey, & Soft Sky).

I thought the sentiment from the Oh What Fun Overlay kit nailed the feel of the page on the head! Do you see the look John is giving Santa in the center photo? Definitely must have gotten coal in his stocking that year!

Here is how I put this color challenge together. I’d love to see how you incorporate these colors into your creations!

Fa La La La La – MDSM41

I spent some time recently scrolling through old family photos my dad scanned and saved for all us kids a while back. I came across some Christmas photos I wanted to put in a digital layout.

I headed over to the MDS Monday Blog to look for a sketch I could use, and was happy to see challenge MDSM41! As many of you know Bling is my middle name…no not really, but I love things that sparkle and shine.

Here is my take on the challenge, using DSP from Stampin’ Up!’s Letters to Santa collection and for the sentiment I used one of the digital overlays from the Oh What Fun set. I think the page is fun and festive…just what I was going for.

I’d be excited to see what you create using this sketch!
