PMDC-050: Sketch Challenge

It’s been a while since I’ve had an opportunity to play along with the Digi Challenge at Pixel Maven’s Retreat. So here we go. I’ve been wanting to design a few 4×6 photo mounts for my Project Life Binder, and I thought this would be a great opportunity to do that and play along.

So I knew what I wanted to make, and where I wanted to play along….but what was my theme going to be??? Looking through some of my older MDS files I came across the Wonderfall Kit, and that clinched it!!! I love Fall!!! And I love the whimsical designs in this kit.

Below is my take on the challenge…I hope to see your interpretations, be it digital, hybrid or traditional.

Until Next Time…Happy Crafting!

Digi Birthday Card – PMDC-038

Totally inspired by Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  , I decided to use their sketch to design a Digital card front.

There are a lot of birthdays to celebrate coming up soon, and digital cards offer a multitude of options and great versatility.  This would also be a cute card front for Valentine’s or Mother’s Day.

I thought the DSP “Flirtatious” had excellent colors and the Delicate Doilies Digital stamp added tons of fun to the project!

I’d love to see your take on the challenge!

Too Early for Valentine’s Day? Never! – PMDC-034

My hubby was so sweet yesterday!!! When I came home in the evening there was a nice surprise waiting for me on my nightstand. A beautiful bottle of J’adore by Dior perfume. I had never tested it out before, but it has a lovely scent.

“J’adore”, I believe is French for I Love, which got me thinking Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. So a little burnt out on the Christmas Card front…and yes my cards did make it in the mail this year, wooo whooo… I thought I would work on a little Valentine’s.

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  have a wonderful sketch challenge this week, that I thought would make a wonderful card front.

Below is my take on the sketch.

PMDC-034 - Entry

Yes, I used my favorite digital DSP, Beau Chateau…predictable, but it makes me sooooo happy! If the quote seems familiar, that’s because it is from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice…oh that Mr. Darcy!!!

I’d love to see your interpretations on the sketch!

Until Next Time… Happy Crafting!

Naughty & Nice? – PMDC-033

After highlighting some old family photos in a recent entry for a MDS Monday Challenge, I felt inspired and decided to roll with the concept and use some of John’s old family photos to do the same.

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  have a wonderful color challenge this week, featuring 3 fun colors (Real Red, Basic Grey, & Soft Sky).

I thought the sentiment from the Oh What Fun Overlay kit nailed the feel of the page on the head! Do you see the look John is giving Santa in the center photo? Definitely must have gotten coal in his stocking that year!

Here is how I put this color challenge together. I’d love to see how you incorporate these colors into your creations!
