Naughty & Nice? – PMDC-033

After highlighting some old family photos in a recent entry for a MDS Monday Challenge, I felt inspired and decided to roll with the concept and use some of John’s old family photos to do the same.

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat  have a wonderful color challenge this week, featuring 3 fun colors (Real Red, Basic Grey, & Soft Sky).

I thought the sentiment from the Oh What Fun Overlay kit nailed the feel of the page on the head! Do you see the look John is giving Santa in the center photo? Definitely must have gotten coal in his stocking that year!

Here is how I put this color challenge together. I’d love to see how you incorporate these colors into your creations!

Double Entry – PMDC 031 – Color Challenge & MDSM37

Nicole Watt and Kris Kilcoyne over at  Pixel Maven’s Retreat have a wonderful color challenge this week, featuring 3 great colors (Rich Razzleberry, Midnight Muse, & Crumb Cake).

As you can tell by my most recent post on the addition of the Craft Studio, I am still without any physical paper to work with, so my entry this week will be totally digital.

Lacking in inspiration, I took a cue from Nicole and headed on over to MDS Monday, and found this great layout, for their MDSM37 Challenge!

8X8 MDSM pages (Elliot)-006

Below is how I put both challenges together to feature a few great selfies my nephew Lakshman took of himself with my phone. We were having a great time, and he got a real kick out of reviewing the photos of himself after every click.

I can’t wait to see your take on both challenges.

Until Next Time… Happy Crafting!

PMDC 021 – Color Challenge

I was excited when I saw the color challenge this week at Pixel Maven’s Retreat. They are showcasing the Good Ole’ Red, White and Blue, and I thought this would be a perfect way to showcase all those old 4th of July photos in a scrapbook page.

Fast forward…looks like all of those 4th of July photos are more like memories of many a 4th of July past, since I couldn’t find a single one.

Let’s just say I have a mind like a camera, to which I have permanently affixed these images. Not to say that I have a photographic memory, but as my husband can attest, I tend to be able to have total recall when the need arises. 🙂

So instead, I used the color challenge to highlight some photos from my Good Ole’ Days, when summers seemed to last forever. I’m the hot chick in the sunglasses, and my brother and sister are my co-stars. 🙂

I’d love to see your take on this challenge, whether digital, hybrid or traditional.

Happy Crafting!
